Welcome to Seam of Silver, a business run by designer-maker Helene Shovlar, who creates distinctive, contemporary jewellery for men and women, using traditional tools and techniques.
Helene moved into a new studio in time for The North Yorkshire Open Studios 2015 and she will also open the studio by arrangement, please use the contact details below if you would like to be added to her invitation list.
The new address is: The Drey @ Brunskills Cottage, Cotterdale DL8 3LT.
All her jewellery is individually made in this studio, situated near Hawes, giving you the chance to combine it with a visit to the Wensleydale Creamery for coffee or lunch or just to buy some cheese made on site.
There are red squirrels running about in the garden and great moorland walks in the vicinity.
Don't forget to check out her BLOG for the latest pieces!
Her most recent Silver Work is previewed there: Noughts and Crosses (hugs and kisses) based around the o and x symbols.
Prices vary as pieces are individually made, no two pieces being identical. They start at £25 for small copper enamel pieces and go upwards to £500 for large sterling silver necklaces with semi precious stones.
Please contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org for further details or send a message through this website.
